Cruise by water taxi through the Astrolabe Roadstead to Torrent Bay. Walk the wonderful section of the Track to Onetahuti and then enjoy an encounter with some New Zealand fur seals.
Water taxi into the heart of park and then walk south to Anchorage (6hrs). Spend the night aboard the Aquapackers floating backpackers before spending your second day walking back to Marahau (4hrs). We provide you with a kayak and all of the safety gear you will need for your day-long kayaking adventure. After a briefing and instructions on how to use the equipment by a friendly kayaking instructor, you set off from Marahau to spend your day exploring the southern stretch of the Abel Tasman at your own pace, on your way through to Anchorage. You leave your kayak on the beach at Anchorage and we’ll have it transported back to Marahau on a water taxi. From Anchorage, you can continue walking north along the Abel Tasman Coastal Track. Alternatively walk back to Marahau (3.5hrs) or catch a water taxi.
